Raven - Inktober Day Five, 2021

They all gather to celebrate something, no one knows what. Their party is called Rave, where they drink blood of the innocent fruits. The entire forest is lit up as they all gather to Rave. This is an area where everyone is neutral. No prey, no predator, not because this is the party of truce, but because everyone fears the hosts of this celebration. The Ravens. Some of the Ravens fly across the forest in search for animals to invite. The more the merrier. Mostly everyone accepts as they want to enjoy this occasion. But sometimes they accept out of fear. Now, the Ravens never abuse their power, nor do they hold back if they see any violation of the code.

It's all fun and games as the most feared Ravens wear the most wildest costumes. The colours are vibrant and invoke joy when you see them. They are all seeing, all loving peace holding folk, who like to celebrate together. Especially after the incident which stumped all the living and dead beings to the core 500 years ago, and again 50 years ago. Some think it's just a myth. But others say that this same disbelief lead to the history being repeated 50 years ago. Some others suggest that every once in a while the Ravens should showcase their power to keep the young ones mouth shut. All of this talk is renewed every time they celebrate together. After all, they celebrate once in 5 years.

You can feel the aura of Ravens when they are near you. They exude electric excellence, and command respect even from the most feared animals through their sheer charisma and kindness. So it becomes harder for the youngins to believe of their deadly power.

After everyone had the delicious meals and beverages made from vegetables and fruits, and some eccentric individuals even consume seaweed, they all gather around the fire, as there are only few hours left for the sunrise. The nocturnals show everyone some tricks to be awake for this auspicious day.

After some conversations and they all chant something until the dawn.

They are asking when will the rays of sunshine will enlighten them.

Inspired by Ravens, and my drawing of it, and a writing prompt I saw along the lines of 'the bartender being the most feared, which is why heroes and villains have peace in the bar.'
