Pressure
Pressure - Inktober Day Nine, 2021
The amateur artist looked at the word of the day, wondering what to draw. The words no longer describe an object, they are now referring to concepts. How in the parallel world can one draw a concept? Object drawings are comparatively easier. Comparatively, but generally, they're not that easy.
In any case, to draw with a magic pencil is no joke. To top that, he had to draw something that would help the team travel through time.
Tool or Equipment to help in the Time Traveling? If we already have time machine, what else would we need? Another one? Magic ID like the one Dr. Who has? Some sort of device? But what's the use of it? He went to the team to vent. They all started brain storming, but it was going the same places his mind went all night.
Suddenly and idea hit him like the old pressure cooker's whistle ejecting and hitting the floor. He need to have an all-purpose time and date tracker. At first, everyone was excited. That made so much sense. But the excitement died as soon as they realised, no one knows what that even means.
How do you make something that you don't know the mechanism of, let alone draw it.
He was the only artist left along with this last batch that was supposed to be somewhere 3 nights ago. But time is relative. After all, they're Time Traveling. But how can the authorities expect so much from a newbie?
He gave up on the idea and just passed it along to the authorities. They said they understood. Now he was assigned to be the last person on the planet to ensure everyone else's safety until they all leave.
The pressure he wanted to evade, just grew louder.
There was no escape.
THE END?
P.S. The pressure to write a meaningful ending is too much. I'll let you interpret. ( C. Nolan method I guess, wow wait... so he left the inception ending because he couldn't figure it out? :P )
