Top 5 YouTube Channels To Subscribe! [June & July 2017 Edition]

Procrastination is not something we can use as an alibi every time. Or anytime. Because, it's a choice we make. Always. So, from now on, instead of giving excuses, I want to just go forward and continue the post.

So, hey there! As I told you last time, I want to make this more interesting than just giving out a list of channels. Which is not easy, as the whole purpose is just to give you interesting channels in one place. I will try anyway.

I've been discovering a lot of Stand-up comedians lately, and I listed them before. It's just that, I can't really give a brief introduction of them each time, as everyone's bio will turn out to be the same thing. What I decided to do now is, to list out the all the recently-discovered-stand-up comedians' names without any introductions. There might not be any comedian's name in few posts, and there might be 5-6 in one.

I am merging two months list together. Again. I hope this is the last time I do it.

June Channels:

1. AsapSCIENCE: If you're into science, then this is a channel for you. If not, well... this is for you too. Their content is so neatly explained through illustrations and great voice-over in a very simple-to-understand-way, that you would want to binge watch their videos.

Actually, first watch their video, 'Is Binge Watching Bad For You?' and then decide. Isn't that awesome? Everything science is covered there. Which is basically everything.

2. The School of Life: "The School of Life is both a You Tube channel and a real-life school (for adults) devoted to emotional education and located in 10 campuses around the world." Reads a part of their channel description.

Most of things we wonder are addressed there. It's a definite channel to check if you breathe. You do? Then check them out. Even if you don't, check them out.

3. Lessons from the Screenplay: If you're like me, you'd be glad to know that this channel exists. The content of this channel, well you might've guessed it from the self-explanatory name, is where they breakdown movies for you to understand what all goes into making a good story.

Basically, you'll learn about the storytelling in a way that helps us understand it in a great way, i.e., using real movie examples.

4. Lindsey Stirling: A fantastic violinist who simultaneously dances. The Dancing Violinist would be apt. Her music videos are awesome. The videos are theme-based. All the people dress up according to the theme, go on locations as required, make an amazing video which tells a story with her music and dance.

It's like watching a movie. A musical movie. Of awesomeness.

5. Jessica Kobeissi: A photographer who gives tutorials on Portrait and Fashion photography. Also, tutorials on Photoshop. The tutorials are amazing insight into those domains of photography.

The best thing is when she calls 3 other photographers to make a comparison video where 4 photographers shoot the same model. In their own ways, but in same location and/or with same props. That's the best part, as it shows different perspectives. Which just gives you ideas of how you can do the same when you do photography next time.

July Channels:

1. Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell: "Videos explaining things with optimistic nihilism. We are a small team who want to make science look beautiful. Because it is beautiful." Reads their channel's About section. Just copied from there, because it's easier to explain from their own description, in a nutshell.

Their videos are so good and thought provoking... that you'll be hooked till you're tired and don't want to watch any more.

2. Art of Manliness: A self-explanatory title, isn't it? Well, the host (Brett McKay) explains how to do things to be the person you want to be. Simply put, almost everything that you need/deserve to know about life & living in general.

The title is telling you about Manliness, but anyone can watch the videos, as he gives advises that are helpful to everyone.

 3. Bad Lip Reading: It is exactly like what it sounds. Spoof videos are made by overdubbing funny dialogues based on bad lip reading.

You'd be shocked to know how much similar our lip movements are for very different words. Or maybe not shocked if you already know that. But, make sure you watch at least one of their videos. 10/10 recommended.

4. Bradley Friesen: The beauty of YouTube can be seen with this channel. He is a Helicopter Pilot who flies for recreation. And films it! Holy mother nature can be seen from new heights. It's one of the best channels you can subscribe to that won't bore you. Ever.

It's awesome that channels like this exist.

5. BrainStuff - HowStuffWorks: Is it possible to erase your memories? Is the kind of questions they answer. Not only that, they explain the everyday science in our world. And out of our world.

If you're curious kind of person, that is almost everyone here. I hope. You might like this channel.

Check all of the above channels if they pique your interest. If not, check them anyway.

So, that's been the two months list clubbed together. Be sure to hang out here more often. Also, check out my past works on this Blog.

See you in the next post.

Till then... keep breathing.
