Opinion and Perspective
You might be expecting the monthly YouTuber's list I've been posting for a while now. That is, if you're following this Blog. The followers' number is quite low, just FYI. I am happy, though, because that tells me at least someone is reading my posts.
However, this post is not about that. Today I just thought to share something with you on Opinions and Perspectives of people. Obviously, all of this is my perspective, and are my opinions. And that is the beauty of it. Everyone has their own unique perspective. Everyone has some opinion on almost everything they think they know. Why I put it that way? Well, we all think we are right about things all the time. We are right in many cases, too. Sometimes we are not. It seems so trivial thought to think about but, when we actually learn about the 'truth,' we tend to not believe it as it questions our opinion, our thought... it questions, us.
There's this habit of people giving reviews of things. It maybe movies, books, foods, prized possessions like luxury cars, and I think you get the drill. I don't have anything against people reviewing something. It's just that, all others who learn that review are agitated if it doesn't resonate with their ideas, their review, their opinions.
The whole point of reviews and opinions is to help each other understand how things are, how they see it, and how you can see it, if you want to see it that way. Otherwise, just move on. The catch here is that, you have to have your own testing mechanism to test everything. If the things you're reviewing pass your test, good. If not, then it's none of your business to force others to follow you. Everyone has their own tests.
Whether the problem lies with the whole idea of reviewing things, or just that it was designed to be that way so that there would be something where people can argue on, which would, in the designer's opinion, keep the balance of the universe. It seems stupid to even think this because, the first thought that comes to our mind right after this questioning is, Humans are that way. We all have our own tastes and choices. We all like many different things. Few of us would like to see the stars twinkling. Few of us would want to sit on the stars. Few of us might argue that the stars we are seeing today are not there today, and are actually from many years ago, so the other few idiots who wanted to sit on them, can't actually do that.
You know, there are many groups of people that agree on same things, but still have slightly different ways to see it. That's perspective. No matter how much we think we understand and can see other's perspective, we can't. Technically, no one can see other's perspective, just because they think they can. Otherwise it wouldn't be called perspective.
Or maybe they can, I don't know... it's just my opinion.
Coming back to the reviewing subject, let me clear it out in very simple way. By taking an easy example of movie reviews. When people watch a movie 'expecting' something, whatever it might be, tend to hate the movie if it doesn't go according to them. According to how they wanted it to be. There's nothing wrong with that. It's their opinion, right? Well, it is slightly wrong when they start spreading the negativity through all the people who are yet to watch it. Eventually, leading all of them to start labeling the movie as 'bad' even without watching it, thus creating some kind of negativity in the collective human psyche.
That might've been over-exaggeration, but it is somewhat close to the 'truth.'
When we have been influenced by others opinions and our own perspective is disrupted, we are then flawed in our own thoughts about that particular thing. Though, that never stops us to see it in our own way, but would've been a totally different thing to see something for the first time without anyone else's influencing ideas. Not everyone is able to express their interest and liking towards a things after everyone's hating it. Or hate it, when the 'likers' are on the verge of killing the haters. Killing... metaphorically, of course.
Everyone knows this. Well, almost everyone, and yet we still have to put it out there again and again.
What's the point of this post? Well, nothing really.
Just some guy with some opinion.
Line separator, I guess. Because, I still don't know if there's a line separator in Blogger.
This might look like a rant or something, well maybe it is, maybe it is not. One thing I have to clear out, because this is opinions and perspectives post, that I am not against reviews. Just the people who try to enforce them on others without letting them have their own ideas.
Because, as I said, reviews are something that are helpful to many. But again, depends on each individual on how they take it.
Actually everything is in that way, isn't it?
